TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Terms of Conditions are between you, the purchaser and the purchaser’s guests (together “you” or “the Participant”) and A seat at the table, by Akurator AS. In consideration of the consent of A seat at the table to provide you with services, you voluntarily agree to the following terms and conditions of purchase. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not purchase a ticket.
GENERAL TERMS
A-kurator AS, organization no. 932 744 147 operates the brand “A seat at the table” and the website www.aseat-thetable.com (“Website”). Via the website you can buy seats to our restaurant and social supper club experiences Beyond Walls, At Restaurants and Hot Seats from www.aseat-thetable.com
These general terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply when you as a consumer (“Customer”) place an order via the Website. In connection with the Customer making a purchase via the Website, the Customer must approve the Terms and Conditions.
The A seat at the table experience is intended for adults. Due to the length of the events, the family-style service, service of alcoholic beverages and out of respect for all of our guests, participants must be 20 years of age to participate. If you are under the age of 18, please contact us directly at hello@aseat-thetable.com for inquiries about giftcards. Additionally, participants may not bring animals of any sort with the exception of service animals.
Orders made in another person’s name (forgery), or orders that otherwise expose A seat at the table to the risk of financial damage, are reported to the police. In case of suspicion of irregularities or misuse of our service, A seat at the table reserves the right to cancel the Customer’s order
A seat at the table strives to keep the information on the website as accurate as possible, but reserves the right that possible image and typographical errors on the website may occur. Eg.errors related to product description, content, incorrect pricing and/or incorrect information about a product. A seat at the table have the right to correct any errors at any given moment and change or update the information on the Website. A seat at the table is not responsible for the information, including images, on the page that comes from third parties.
The website is owned by A-kurator AS. The content on the Website is owned by A seat at the table, by A-kurator AS or its licensor. The content is, among other things, protected by intellectual property and market law rules. This means that trademarks, company names, product names, images and graphics, design, layout and information about goods, services and other content cannot be copied or used without A seat at the table´s written consent.
ORDERS, REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
All purchases on the Website are made in Norwegian kroner (NOK). Prices include VAT, unless otherwise stated.
The customer can choose one of the payment methods that appear on the Website, including Vipps and card payment. By providing information at checkout, the Customer also accepts Vipp’s terms and conditions
In order to make a purchase via the Website, the Customer must accept the Terms and Conditions. By accepting the Terms and Conditions, the Customer undertakes to comply with the Terms and Conditions in their entirety and at the same time confirms having received information about A seat at the table’s processing of personal data and cookies in accordance with A seat at the table Privacy Policy. When the Customer completes an order from A seat at the table, A seat at the table sends an order confirmation via e-mail to the Customer with booking references for your event experience.
When buying online, customers have a 14-day cancellation period in accordance with the Consumer Purchase Act. The cancellation period is aimed at the provider of the agreement in question, but A seat at the table can forward this communication by contacting our support team. A seat at the table does not undertake to deal with the complaint beyond this, and upon purchase, the customer understands that a purchase agreement has been entered into between the customer and the stated supplier.

No refunds or credits will be given if the Participant is unable to attend. However, bought experiences can be transferred to someone else. Please contact us at hello@aseat-thetable.com with the new guest’s information at least 24 hours prior to the event, or tell the guests using your reservation to give your name at arrival.
In the case of an experience being postponed due to circumstances beyond A seat at the table´s intention, A seat at the table will reschedule said event and all purchases will be honored for the rescheduled future event date. No monetary refunds will be issued. If a guest is unable to attend the rescheduled event, A seat at the table will issue a credit for the original purchase amount, for the guest to use toward another A seat at the table event of their choice.
WEATHER
All Beyond Walls events proceed rain or shine. In the event of rain, A seat at the table will arrange for shelter for the table. Participants will still receive planned event content, and A seat at the table recommends dressing appropriately. Absent an evacuation situation, under no circumstances will a Participant be entitled to a refund or additional financial accommodations due to poor weather conditions.
FORCE MAJEURE
Any delay in whole or in part in the event caused by the occurrence of any fire, flood, earthquake, elements of nature, pandemic or widespread illness, acts of war, terrorism, riots, civil disorders, rebellions or revolutions, or any other similar cause beyond the reasonable control of A seat at the table shall be excused and not considered a breach of this Agreement, nor shall it entitle the Participant a refund on the purchase amount.
DIETARY ACOMMODATIONS
We strive to uphold the highest quality and service standards, and we will do our utmost to accommodate dietary needs, but we can only guarantee accommodations for vegetarian requests.
ATTIRE
Our Beyond Walls events will come with suggestions to attire, but will not be held accountable. No refunds or accommodations will be provided as a result of improper attire worn by the Participant. Events take place on all sorts of natural terrain and in the fields of working farms and vineyards, so please wear proper attire and appropriate shoes. A jacket and/or blanket is recommended as it often gets cool in the evening. In all cases, we love you to come as you are.
PERSONAL ITEMS
We are not liable for lost or stolen property of Participants. If the Participant misplaces an item, A seat at the table will do our best to get it back to the Participant.
PAYMENT FOR PRIVATE EVENTS
A 50% downpayment is required to secure your booking with A seat at the table. Full payment is required no later than 14 days prior to the day of the event. Full payment is required, less deposit. Payment shall be made by transfer. Cash will only be accepted with the prior agreement.
The charges do not include the cost of breakage or loss of or damage to the Supplier’s equipment, tableware, cut- lery or linen etc. for which we reserve the right to charge the Customer after the Event provided that notification of such breakage or damage is provided to the Customer within 14 days after the Event.
The customer shall only be liable for the cost of breakage or loss of or damage to the Supplier’s equipment, table- ware, cutlery or linen etc. if caused by the Customer or one of their attendees.
All charges quoted are exclusive of VAT, which shall be payable by the Customer at the prevailing rate upon sub- mission of a VAT invoice by the Théo unless otherwise stated.
MEDIA LICENSE
The Participant consents to A seat at the table’s commercial, journalistic and internal use of any media image, audio or visual, taken by, on behalf of, or for the use of A seat at the table during your participation in the event.
CHANGE OF TERMS
A seat at the table reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time and without the Customer’s prior consent. Any such change will be published on the Website. Changes to the Terms are valid from the Customer’s approval of the Terms in connection with new purchases (if the change is related to purchases on the Website), or from the Customer’s visit to the Website (if the change is related to the use of the Website), or 10 days from A seat at the table informing the Customer about the changes.
VALIDITY
If one or more provisions in these Terms contravene current legislation or are judged to be invalid by a court or relevant supervisory authority, this shall not affect the validity of the other provisions in the Terms.
DISPUTES
A seat at the table’s goal is always for the customer to be as satisfied as possible. Should a dispute arise between the parties, the parties shall attempt to resolve any disputes amicably. All disputes must be resolved according to Norwegian law. If the case is brought before the courts, it must be decided in the Customer’s jurisdiction, which normally means close to where you live.
